We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to support daily test center operations. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who stays calm in a structured, fast-moving setting and takes pride in delivering a detail-oriented experience for every visitor. The role combines front-desk support, administrative coordination, and exam room oversight while following strict security and compliance standards. Candidates should be comfortable with a flexible schedule that may include weekday, Saturday, occasional evening, and possible Sunday hours.
Job Responsibility
Welcome test takers and visitors, provide clear check-in guidance, and confirm identity documents in accordance with site procedures
Supervise the testing environment throughout the day, ensuring rules are followed and irregular activity is addressed promptly and appropriately
Carry out required security steps, which may include screening measures and biometric or digital record collection when applicable
Support front-office operations by answering inbound calls, scanning documents, handling clerical tasks, and maintaining organized records
Protect confidential testing materials and maintain a secure, orderly workspace at all times
Document incidents, exceptions, and candidate concerns accurately, escalating issues quickly when needed
Assist with basic equipment handling, including packing, unpacking, and moving materials or devices in line with safety expectations
Help create a fair and comfortable experience for all candidates by providing attentive assistance and consistent policy enforcement
Adapt to changing weekly schedules based on site operating hours and testing demand
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required
additional college experience is helpful
At least one year of in-person customer service experience in a setting such as retail, hospitality, reception, or similar is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and coworkers
Comfort using Windows-based computer systems and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a detail-focused environment while maintaining accuracy and composure
Must be able to stand or remain seated for extended periods, move through the testing room regularly, and escort candidates as needed
Ability to bend, stoop, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds when handling office or testing equipment
Availability for a flexible schedule, including Saturday shifts and occasional evening or Sunday hours
