We are looking for an Office Assistant to support daily workplace operations for a Contract position in Washington, District of Columbia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating an organized, welcoming office environment and can confidently handle a mix of facility support and routine administrative tasks. The successful candidate will help keep shared spaces well maintained while assisting with basic clerical and front-office needs as business activity increases.
Job Responsibility
Maintain kitchen and common areas so they remain clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the day
Prepare fresh coffee and monitor beverage stations to ensure supplies are available for staff and visitors
Load, run, and empty the dishwasher while keeping dishware and kitchen items organized
Restock refrigerators and office supplies in shared spaces to support smooth day-to-day operations
Receive deliveries, scan incoming packages, and place them in the appropriate designated pickup area
Assist with arranging furniture, tables, and room setups for meetings or team activities
Perform light housekeeping tasks that contribute to a neat, functional, and well-organized office setting
Support general clerical and receptionist-related duties, including answering inbound calls when needed
Requirements
Previous experience in an office support, receptionist, or administrative assistant role
Ability to manage light physical tasks such as moving furniture and setting up tables safely
Comfortable handling routine kitchen upkeep, dishwashing, and general housekeeping responsibilities
Familiarity with scanning documents or packages and maintaining organized records or tracking processes
Strong dependability and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple daily priorities
Detail-oriented communication skills and a service-oriented approach when assisting staff and visitors
Willingness to support clerical tasks and answer incoming phone calls as needed
