We are looking for an organized Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations in Abilene, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming front-office experience while keeping clerical tasks accurate and on schedule. The role includes assisting visitors, managing incoming calls, and handling document processing in a busy work environment.
Job Responsibility
Welcome visitors professionally and provide front-desk support throughout the day
Answer inbound phone calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate contacts, and take accurate messages when needed
Scan, organize, and maintain paper and digital records to support office documentation needs
Perform a variety of clerical duties such as filing, data organization, and general administrative assistance
Help maintain smooth daily office operations by supporting staff with routine administrative requests
Follow the assigned work schedule, which may include shifts Monday through Saturday
Coordinate arrival check-in procedures for visitors or contractors as directed by onsite leadership
Requirements
Previous experience in an office assistant, receptionist, or administrative support role
Comfortable handling inbound calls in a courteous and attentive manner
Ability to scan, file, and organize documents with strong attention to detail
Solid clerical skills, including recordkeeping and general office support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with visitors and team members
Reliable time management skills and flexibility to work a varying schedule Monday–Saturday, with Saturday availability required
Ability to work independently while following site-specific procedures and supervisor guidance
