We are looking for a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Newark, New Jersey. This is a contract position that offers a dynamic work environment and an opportunity to support critical office operations. The ideal candidate will assist with various administrative tasks and ensure smooth day-to-day functionality of the office.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with shipping, purchasing, and receiving processes to support operational efficiency
Perform data entry tasks accurately and maintain organized records
Print labels and manage documentation for shipping and order handling
Process claims for lost or damaged packages with the appropriate carriers
Compile and review weekly order shipment reports to track deliveries
Manage inventory and order office supplies when necessary
Support contract reviews and order entry tasks with precision
Provide general clerical assistance, including answering calls and addressing inquiries
Handle ad hoc administrative tasks to meet evolving office needs
Requirements:
Proficiency in CRM systems to manage customer and order data effectively
Experience in answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service
Familiarity with billing functions and basic accounting tasks
Strong clerical skills, including organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Competence in handling claims and resolving package-related issues
Comfortable performing data entry with a high level of accuracy
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and external contacts
