We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to support daily administrative and mailroom operations for an office. This is an onsite Contract position suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently as the primary person in the office. The role combines front-office support, customer interaction, mail handling, and accurate recordkeeping to help maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
Job Responsibility
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting deliveries, preparing items for shipment, and coordinating routine carrier drop-offs
Provide courteous front-line support by assisting visitors and responding to general questions in a helpful and attentive manner
Maintain clear and organized records of communications, deliveries, and office-related correspondence
Perform a variety of clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and general administrative support
Monitor office activity throughout the day and help ensure the workspace remains organized and ready for daily business needs
Communicate with property or building contacts as needed regarding routine office logistics and operational matters
Support shipping and mailing processes by helping track packages and confirming timely dispatch of materials
Requirements
Previous experience in an office support, receptionist, clerical, or mail handling role
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing
Reliable attendance and punctuality, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently
Comfortable handling administrative tasks that require attention to detail and accurate documentation
Working knowledge of Google Apps and general office software
Ability to lift and move standard mail or office packages as needed
Detail-oriented appearance and willingness to follow a business casual dress code
