Job Description:

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and administrative skills? Our client in Southington, CT is seeking an Office Assistant to support their team with daily operations and ensure the office runs efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to an organization's success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, filing, and data entry
  • Answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and provide a professional first impression
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and maintain calendars for team members
  • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other business documents as needed
  • Monitor and order office supplies to ensure inventory is well-stocked
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests to meet business needs
  • Ensure compliance with office procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in an administrative or office role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience providing specialized administrative support to an individual or executive
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, particularly in managing complex calendars
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for document creation and data management
  • Previous work experience in a non-profit organization is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with team members and external contacts
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Nice to have:

Previous work experience in a non-profit organization is highly preferred
