We are looking for a dedicated Office Assistant to join our team in San Diego, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the office while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Job Responsibility:
Maintain a clean and welcoming front entry area by spot-cleaning glass surfaces and sanitizing high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches
Keep the kitchen organized by collecting dishes and trash, wiping down surfaces, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and monitoring coffee and water equipment for cleanliness and functionality
Restock kitchen supplies, such as paper towels and soap, and track items that require reordering or replacement
Ensure conference rooms and breakout areas are tidy by aligning chairs, cleaning glass doors and windows, and checking that TVs, remotes, and other tech equipment are in working order
Greet guests upon arrival and provide assistance with their needs while coordinating with workplace operations
Collaborate with building maintenance and landlords to address facilities-related concerns and guide vendors to the appropriate areas for service
Respond to employee requests promptly and communicate with the workplace operations team to resolve them effectively
Assist with managing service requests and tickets to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
Support preventive maintenance efforts by coordinating necessary repairs and inspections for office equipment and machines
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or office support role
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Proficiency in using basic office equipment and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, employees, and vendors
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and order
Ability to work collaboratively with workplace operations and building maintenance teams
Familiarity with administrative assistance tasks and basic back-office support
Problem-solving skills to handle service requests and operational challenges efficiently
