We are looking for a dedicated Office and Event Manager to oversee office administration and event coordination tasks in Norfolk, Virginia. This role requires someone who excels in managing complex registration databases, ensuring seamless event execution, and maintaining high levels of organization. Job Responsibility:
Manage the shipping and coordination of event registration materials
Create and maintain detailed databases for event registrations
Process registration forms, both online and paper-based, with accuracy
Track and reconcile payments, including handling refunds and additional charges
Generate reports summarizing attendee information and registration details
Provide guidance to clients on database usage and troubleshoot technical issues
Oversee the production and distribution of registration-related print materials such as tickets and agendas
Ensure final registration data is accurately reconciled and shared with vendors
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and documentation to support event operations
For specific events, manage the complete registration lifecycle, from form creation to financial reconciliation
Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Skilled in managing databases and resolving technical issues independently
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving processes
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in event planning or operations
Familiarity with event registration platforms and financial reconciliation processes
