The OEM Final Assembler is responsible for locating, retrieving, assembling, and inspecting components used in the final build of cooling packages designed to meet specific Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements. This role ensures all products are assembled in accordance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and work orders. The OEM Final Assembler must maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and production standards, ensuring each unit meets both internal and customer expectations prior to shipment. This position plays a critical role in supporting customer satisfaction, product integrity, and production efficiency.
Job Responsibility
Review work orders, engineering drawings, and OEM specifications to ensure accurate assembly
Assemble cooling packages and components to meet customer-specific requirements and tolerances
Inspect products throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with quality standards and OEM expectations
Identify and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to meet both internal and customer quality standards
Locate, verify, and retrieve parts required for final assembly
Attach and secure all components according to detailed specifications and procedures
Safely move cooling packages to and from workstations using manual methods or lifting equipment
Requirements
Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is required
Previous experience in final assembly or OEM-specific assembly is preferred
Ability to work the assigned shift consistently
Ability to meet attendance requirements as outlined in AKG's Employee Information Handbook
Ability to sit approximately 30%, walk 65%, and stand 5% of the workday
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds approximately 20% of the time
Ability to safely operate equipment including chain hoists, pallet jacks, saws, and power tools
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses
