Comfortable negotiating freight rates and coordinating shipments
Familiar with food import compliance (FDA/USDA/FSVP is a major plus)
Detail-oriented with costs, invoices, SKUs, and inventory systems
Strong communicator who can manage multiple moving parts

Job Responsibility

Manage the full lifecycle of inbound imports and related compliance
Purchase orders + supplier coordination through their ERP
Coordinate export loading instructions for LCL (less-than-container) shipments
Book ocean freight with forwarders and negotiate rates to secure best pricing
Track shipments after loading: container updates, vessel info, ETA, delivery timing
Validate costs and invoices: check cheese cost iImpornvoices and reconcile in systems
Set up new import items in A-ware and Seafrigo inventory
Maintain item costs inside M3 and adjust when needed
Own Canada shipments end-to-end (orders, proforma invoices for Customs, manual billing)
Handle any FDA / USDA / Customs issues and communicate directly with government agencies

Job Responsibility

Coordinate the movement of time sensitive product via ocean (majority) and inland transportation modes
Responsible for last mile delivery within North America to our clients
Carry out daily tracking and tracing of shipments to ensure that you are always aware of any changes in departure and arrival times
Ensure that all required import/export documentation is acquired from shipper or created and completed in a timely manner
Build and maintain close relationships with suppliers, carriers, brokers and especially customers
Provide customer service and ensure that all client issues are quickly and efficiently resolved
