Job Description

Ocean Environment Educator in ensuring sustainable management and preservation of the Resort's oceanic environment. Help create a positive impact on both the local ecosystem and the overall guest experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist Resort Ocean Environment Manager to develop and implement strategies to protect and enhance the Resort's oceanic environment, including coral reefs, marine life, and coastal ecosystems
  • Help to identify and implement sustainable practices across all departments to minimize environmental impact, such as reducing waste and promoting energy and water conservation
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate Resort staff and guests about the importance of marine conservation and responsible environmental practices
  • Collect and analyze relevant data on the Resort's environmental performance, including water quality, waste management, and energy consumption, to identify areas for improvement and monitor progress
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential environmental incidents, such as oil spills or natural disasters, minimizing their impact on the local ecosystem
  • Perform guided snorkelling with guests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, marine biology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in environmental organisation, preferably within the hospitality industry or coastal environments
  • Swimming, diving and rescue skills
  • Strong knowledge of marine conservation practices and ESGs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and educate staff, guests, and external stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, interpret, and present environmental data
  • Familiarity with relevant environmental monitoring tools and technologies
  • Crisis management and emergency response experience is highly desirable
  • Passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to promoting sustainable practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
  • Proactive, hands on and able to operate autonomously
  • Problem Solving Skills
