We are seeking an experienced Ocean & Air Export Agent for a logistics company in Gardena, California. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong international shipping knowledge and hands-on experience managing export operations from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of export experience and be proficient in CargoWise.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage ocean and air export shipments from booking through final delivery
Prepare and process export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, and other required shipping documents
Ensure compliance with all international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures
Communicate with carriers, steamship lines, airlines, truckers, overseas agents, and customers regarding shipment status and scheduling
Arrange bookings and monitor cargo movement to ensure timely departures and deliveries
Enter and maintain accurate shipment data in CargoWise
Track shipments, troubleshoot delays, and resolve issues proactively
Prepare freight quotes and support customers with shipment inquiries
Audit shipping documents and billing for accuracy
Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in ocean and air export operations
Recent hands-on experience using CargoWise is required
Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation and export compliance
Experience coordinating both air and ocean freight shipments
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
