Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Ocean & Air Export Agent for a logistics company in Gardena, California. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong international shipping knowledge and hands-on experience managing export operations from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of export experience and be proficient in CargoWise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and manage ocean and air export shipments from booking through final delivery
  • Prepare and process export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, and other required shipping documents
  • Ensure compliance with all international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures
  • Communicate with carriers, steamship lines, airlines, truckers, overseas agents, and customers regarding shipment status and scheduling
  • Arrange bookings and monitor cargo movement to ensure timely departures and deliveries
  • Enter and maintain accurate shipment data in CargoWise
  • Track shipments, troubleshoot delays, and resolve issues proactively
  • Prepare freight quotes and support customers with shipment inquiries
  • Audit shipping documents and billing for accuracy
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ocean and air export operations
  • Recent hands-on experience using CargoWise is required
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation and export compliance
  • Experience coordinating both air and ocean freight shipments
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
