Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the CHI Franciscan Home Health team. The OTA will work collaboratively with the OT and other interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy services for patients in their homes. Job Responsibility

Work collaboratively with the OT and other interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy services for patients in their homes

Requirements

Associates of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field
Active registered OTA license in the state which you practice
Must obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification
One-year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting
Current Drivers License
Comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations

Assure the quality of patient care and treatment programs by providing hands on assessment, treatment, and direction to subordinate staff on matters of treatment.
Assist patient preparing for therapy and return trip. Assist with dressing and undressing
removing and putting on braces or supportive equipment, prostheses, crutches, etc.
Implement patient plan of care and goals using appropriate COTA skills.
Actively listen to patient and family concerns when modifying treatment plans.
Be able to provide patient care during scheduled hours as assigned by a supervisor.
Educate and motivate patients and families to learn and improve functional activities.
Assure the quality of overall perceived patient care.
Document progress, home programs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
Clean and prepare equipment for therapy session.
