This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Family Centred model of care, delivering high-quality services to children aged 0–18 years and their families across the South Laois Network Area. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the Children’s Disability Network Team, supporting children and families through assessment, intervention, goal planning, and collaborative care planning. The Occupational Therapist will contribute to the delivery of evidence-based, family-centred interventions aimed at maximising each child’s participation, independence, and quality of life.
Job Responsibility
Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people with complex disabilities
Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment
Support children and families using a family-centred approach
Develop and implement individualised intervention plans and goals
Maintain appropriate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards
Participate in team meetings, service development, and quality improvement initiatives
Liaise effectively with families, schools, community agencies, and other relevant stakeholders
Requirements
Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
Possess the requisite knowledge, skills, and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapist Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued
