Occupational Therapist role as part of the Early Start Australia Graduate Program. The program offers a smooth transition with onboarding support, supervision, a dedicated buddy, and fortnightly technical training. The role involves working in well-equipped clinics, client’s homes, schools, and via telehealth as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children's development.
Job Responsibility:
Help children achieve their development milestones such as fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to help play, school or independent skills (eg throwing a ball, getting dressed, holding a pencil or utensil)
Educate and involve parents, carers and others to facilitate the development and learning of children
Help children with developmental delays learn everyday tasks (such as bathing, getting dressed, brushing their teeth and feeding themselves)
Help children with behavioural issues maintain positive behaviours in all environments (eg instead of hitting others and acting out, using positive ways to deal with anger such as writing about feelings or participating in physical activity)
Requirements:
A degree in Occupational Therapy
Eligibility for AHPRA registration upon graduating
Graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025
A full valid driver's license, with access to your own vehicle with third party insurance
A valid Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain
A clear current Police Check, or be willing to obtain
NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or be willing to obtain
First Aid and CPR certification, or be willing to obtain
Excellent communication and time management skills, and attention to detail
