Job Description:

We’re hiring a Occupational Therapist for our Hospital At Home Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full-Time Days position which will provide patient home-based healthcare throughout the Jacksonville community. The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday with no weekend or holiday commitments. This Occupational Therapist position will provide in-home patient care support (commuting involved to patient homes within the Jacksonville metro area with mileage reimbursement). This Occupational Therapist will also provide floating coverage support to Baptist Health acute care rehab units in coordination with Rehab Services leadership beyond in-home patient care appointments as scheduling permits.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment to patients
  • Provides patient care to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability
  • Oversees support staff
  • Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities
  • Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines
  • Participates in mandatory education and licensure requirements
  • Provide in-home patient care support
  • Provide floating coverage support to Baptist Health acute care rehab units

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 or more years of Occupational Therapy Experience
  • Experience working in an Acute Care setting preferred
  • Experience working in a Home Health setting preferred
  • Experience with Surgical Patient Care
  • Experience in Orthopedics
  • Experience in Neuro
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist Required
  • Active BLS from the American Heart Association and licensure from the FL Department of Health required

Nice to have:

  • Experience and interest in program / new service development
  • Master's Degree
