Job Description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority Assessment, Safeguarding & Disability Team in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team, carrying out assessments and supporting adults to maintain their independence while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments
  • Complete moving and handling assessments
  • Recommend specialist equipment and home adaptations
  • Support adults with disabilities, long-term conditions, and complex care needs
  • Contribute to safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments
  • Develop and review person-centred support plans
  • Work closely with service users, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Previous experience within Adult Social Care or a Local Authority setting
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and disability services
  • Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
