ESY Occupational Therapists are responsible for maintenance of IEP qualified goals during the ESY period. ESY Occupational Therapists are also required to attend the two days of training and all 15 student contact days; plan and deliver lessons based on IEP qualified goals. Team effectively with colleagues, the site coordinator and parents; supervise children during breakfast, snack and transitions.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement individualized, goal-directed and research based intervention in the areas of fine motor, gross motor, visual motor, sensory processing and/or other identified activities of daily living
Implement direct and indirect IEP service minutes and IEP documentation
Adapt, secure, fabricate and maintain specialized instructional materials or adaptive equipment
Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary IEP team
Assess students using appropriate evaluation tools
Complete progress reports and regular progress monitoring
Complete Medicaid documentation
Collaborate with families, general and special education staff, paraprofessionals, and service providers
