As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.
Job Responsibility
Help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities
Assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients
Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
Evaluate patient upon initial encounter to determine need for occupational therapy intervention and make referrals to other treatment team members as deemed appropriate
Develop realistic goals with patient input
explains treatment plan and goals to patient
Plan occupational therapy treatment program for each patient based upon interpretation of evaluation results
interprets evaluation findings for patient, family, and treatment team members
Implement treatment or supervise treatment provided by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or occupational therapy student
Delegate routine care to supportive personnel as appropriate
Acts in a supervisory role to ensure proper execution of tasks
When treating Medicare patients, collect data necessary for Medicare billing and provide the necessary billing documentation to the Medicare claims coordinator for billing purposes

Bachelors Other Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapist in the State of Oregon
AHA BLS within 30 days of hire
