Job Description:

Band 7 Occupational Therapist / Clinical Advisor. The role focuses on community equipment services, providing specialist advice and clinical leadership to support independent living. The role involves providing expert equipment guidance, supporting service development, and working collaboratively with health and social care professionals. You will review special orders, maximise equipment reuse, and deliver training and demonstrations to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide specialist equipment advice and clinical reasoning to referrers, commissioners, and operational teams
  • Support development and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective equipment services
  • Collaborate with health and social care professionals to influence best practice
  • Review special orders and promote reuse of equipment
  • Deliver training, demonstrations, and maintain catalogue accuracy
  • Contribute to clinical leadership and service improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Significant post-qualification experience, ideally with community equipment services and clinical leadership
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office and multiple IT systems
