This position provides occupational therapy services to a pediatric population, neonate to adolescent, including evaluation and treatment in independent living, sensory-motor integration, cognitive and psychosocial skill.
Job Responsibility:
Evaluates and treats patients with occupational performance disorders/delays
Provides care as outlined in standards of care
Uses pediatric based behavior management strategies
Establishes appropriate treatment plans
Builds and maintains rapport within the department, hospital, and community
Supervises and directs rehab technician and/or students
Organizes, develops, implements, and coordinates occupational performance of patient care with other disciplines
Maintains appropriate documentation
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Eligible for a State of Arizona Occupational Therapist license
Current AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card prior to start date
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association prior to start date
