Job Description:

As the Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients who have complex functional and psychosocial needs to achieve their long-term wellness and recovery goals, using evidenced based Occupational Therapy interventions and assessments. The SECU provides therapeutic care in a contained and structured environment. Occupational Therapy in SECU provides psychosocial assessments and interventions and assists in supporting the long-term recovery for clients and their family.

Job Responsibility:

  • Formulate often complex community support frameworks with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to actively support patients’ access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) with the aim of patients returning to their communities
  • Participate in quality supervision and training
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture that prioritises wellbeing and personal growth in a supportive team environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification as an Occupational Therapist (as detailed in the position description)
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Valid Victorian driver's licence
