Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded not-for-profit healthcare provider in the search for an Occupational Therapist to join their specialist care service in Worthing. This is an excellent opportunity for a HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist looking to make a genuine difference within an elderly care and rehabilitation setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support residents to maximise their independence, improve functional ability and enhance their overall quality of life. You will carry out comprehensive assessments, develop person-centred intervention plans and provide practical guidance to both residents and staff to ensure the highest standards of care and rehabilitation are delivered.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver occupational therapy assessments and personalised intervention plans
  • Support residents to maximise independence through rehabilitation and enablement
  • Work closely with Physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Train and support care staff to implement therapy recommendations
  • Complete risk assessments relating to daily living activities and independence
  • Advise on therapy equipment and environmental adaptations
  • Liaise with community services and external healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to audits, service development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Experience working with older adults and/or individuals with physical disabilities or cognitive impairments
  • Strong communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality person-centred care

Nice to have

  • Experience within elderly care, rehabilitation, care homes or community settings
  • Knowledge of dementia care and falls prevention
