Department: 37501 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Acute Care Rehabilitation. Status: Full time. Benefits Eligible: Yes. Hours Per Week: 40. Schedule Details/Additional Information: Mon-Friday 9-5:30 pm; weekend rotation schedule. Position Highlights: Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina; Full Time; Relocation Assistance: Up to $7,500 in Relocation Assistance (for qualified candidates).

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the performance of specialized tests, such as manual muscle testing, goniometry and teaching occupational therapy procedures to the patient, family and other health personnel
  • Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members. Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan
  • Plans intervention strategies and communicates effectively with families regarding the child's strengths and weaknesses
  • work may be performed in homes, agencies, preschools or clinics
  • Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status
  • Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient. Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed
  • Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance. Attend relevant workshops and update instruments/tools to ensure most beneficial practices for population served
  • Attends scheduled staff, CDSA, or other committee meetings as needed
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure
  • CPR Certification every two years
