Support the Occupational Health & Wellbeing function by meeting the health surveillance needs of the site and manufacturing units, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, customer standards, and Bakkavor’s internal policies.
Job Responsibility:
Provide health surveillance to meet business needs (audiometry, spirometry, FLT and engineer medicals, skin assessments, night shift workers’ health questionnaires)
Maintain accurate health surveillance records
Update OH system for new starters and leavers
Manage data archiving
Produce monthly KPIs to monitor compliance
Support audit and HSE visit preparation
Participate in employee wellbeing initiatives
Support Bakkavor Wellbeing agenda
Ensure medical supplies are available
Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained
Oversee invoicing
Raise purchase orders within OH & Wellbeing department
Communicate with stakeholders to implement health surveillance plans
Escalate issues to OH & Wellbeing Advisor
Refer cases to OH & Wellbeing Advisor
Liaise with other healthcare professionals
Keep up to date with developments in Occupational Health and Wellbeing
Share best practices with colleagues
Requirements:
Experience in an Occupational Health environment
Understanding of medical confidentiality and GDPR
Experience keeping accurate records and compliance
Awareness of OH surveillance requirements (audiometry, spirometry)
Ability to care for, clean, and calibrate equipment
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel
Recognised Occupational Health Technician (OHT) qualification
Hands-on experience performing health surveillance (lung function, audiology, skin assessments)
Experience using IT to manage data
Experience delivering health promotion initiatives
Experience engaging directly with clients or patients
