About the Role Occupancy Planning Manager – 5 month contract, strong potential to extend About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced workplace planning professional to support occupancy planning, space utilization, and office planning initiatives across a large, multi-location corporate environment. This individual will play a key role in evaluating space needs, developing workplace solutions, coordinating stakeholder input, and supporting office moves, consolidations, and growth-related projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing long-term workplace planning initiatives with day-to-day project execution.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support occupancy planning, space utilization, and workplace optimization initiatives
  • Evaluate space requests and business requirements to develop practical and effective space planning solutions
  • Create occupancy plans, block plans, and restack strategies to support organizational growth, restructuring, and consolidation efforts
  • Collaborate with business leaders, facilities teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and drive projects through review and approval processes
  • Maintain and validate occupancy, headcount, and workplace planning data
  • Support office move planning and transition activities by coordinating information and delivering approved plans to implementation teams
  • Prepare executive presentations, planning summaries, business cases, and project documentation
  • Ensure adherence to established workplace planning standards, policies, and processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by developing and maintaining consistent planning procedures and best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in occupancy planning, workplace planning, corporate real estate, facilities planning, or a related field
  • Experience supporting space planning, office restacking, move management, and workplace strategy initiatives
  • Strong understanding of space utilization, headcount planning, and workplace planning principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to shifting business priorities
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience preparing presentations and recommendations for leadership audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working cross-functionally with facilities, workplace, real estate, project management, and business stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience within large, multi-site corporate environments
  • Knowledge of workplace planning software, CAFM systems, or space management tools
  • Familiarity with CAD, Bluebeam, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Relevant certifications, coursework, or industry designations related to workplace planning, facilities, or corporate real estate
