As an Occupancy Planner, you’ll support space planning efforts and day-to-day occupancy strategy across our global office portfolio. You’ll collaborate closely with Real Estate, Workplace, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure space data accuracy, develop move scenarios, and contribute to long-term headcount and capacity planning. You’ll also play a key role in supporting major restacks and internal moves, while helping track headcount forecasts and space performance over time. This is a contract-to-hire role designed to support a fast-paced, high-growth workplace strategy team, with opportunities to contribute meaningfully across space planning and related initiatives.
Job Responsibility
Analyze and report on space and occupancy trends using headcount forecasts, organizational changes, and business requirements to inform space strategy and utilization decisions
Develop space assessments, block plans, and conceptual layouts that support current operations and future growth across multi-building campuses and diverse teams
Partner with business leaders, executive admins, and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate seating strategies, team adjacencies, conference room usage, and overall occupancy needs, proposing proactive solutions where needed
Maintain accurate spatial data and standards by managing the space planning system, participating in building audits, and coordinating adherence to space ratios, room classifications, and office standards
Collaborate with Workplace, Moves, and Design & Construction teams to support move planning, reconfigurations, and campus-wide relocations, ensuring alignment on space strategy
Produce detailed plans, diagrams, and visual materials using CAD and visualization tools to clearly communicate proposed layouts and scenarios
Support change management and executive communication for high-visibility initiatives, including workplace standards, agile environments, and site-wide moves
Requirements
BA/BS in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field—or equivalent experience in space planning
2+ years of experience in workplace strategy, occupancy planning, and space utilization
Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets (advanced data manipulation and analysis)
Experience with CAFM systems, preferably OfficeSpace
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
Excellent organizational and planning skills
ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Familiarity with ADA guidelines and building codes
