Job Description

OBGYN opening in California starting August 3rd and is ongoing, working clinic and beeper call hours, with inpatient and outpatient work. Coverage: 3-4 days per week; primarily clinic with hospital deliveries. Daily hours: 9:00 am-4:00 pm (option to start at 8:30 am). Call: ~3-4 days/week; weekday beeper call approx. 5:00 pm-7:00 am; weekend 24-hour call 7:00 am-7:00 am. 20-30 minute call response time required. Call Ratio: 1:4. Guaranteed hours: 8 per day; overtime applies after 8 hours/day. Patient encounters: 18-20 per shift. No Admissions required. Hospital is stroke certified. Inpatient/Outpatient. Support Staff: 1 RN, 1 NP/PA, 5 MAs. No Resident teaching or APP supervision required. Average number of deliveries per year: 214. Certifications: CA license, DEA, BC or BE, BLS, ACLS. Case logs required for hospital credentialing. Credentialing/privileging timeframe: approximately 90 days.
