Job Description

The role of an obstetrician/gynaecologist at MSF is essential in improving women’s reproductive health in challenging environments. Job Responsibility

  • Implement gynaecological and obstetric procedures to improve women’s reproductive health and reduce risks during pregnancy, delivery, and neonatology
  • Provide healthcare related to gynaecology and obstetrics, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Ensure implementation of MSF clinical policies, tools, guidelines, and protocols to minimise clinical risk and extend best reproductive practices
  • Collect quantitative gynaecological data and use management tools to improve outcomes and share knowledge among field specialists
  • Plan and supervise human resources processes for gynaecological staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation, to enhance capabilities and influence preventive practices
  • Supervise maintenance and operation of gynaecological equipment, manage drug consumption, and ensure pharmacy stock levels are updated and available

Requirements

  • Gynaecology specialist diploma
  • Minimum of two years certified work experience in gynaecology
  • Proficiency in the programme language
  • Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel)

Nice to have

  • Previous experience with MSF or other NGOs in low- and middle- income countries
  • Proficiency in the local working language
  • Competencies in results orientation, teamwork, flexibility, commitment, and stress management
