Job Description:

CVS Health is seeking multiple Observability Strategy and Governance Managers to join our technology team and work on a tight-knit team leading enterprise observability governance efforts. Reporting to the Lead Director of Observability Governance, these strategic roles involve overseeing planning and management of our observability platforms, including roadmap planning, program management, standards development, financial management, and business engagement.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for observability platforms
Partner with key stakeholders to establish and enforce standards and best practices
Work closely with observability engineering and operations teams, service management, and IT operations
Track and manage observability-related spending
Engage with business partners to understand their observability needs
Lead and manage observability programs
Oversee identification and mitigation risks associated with observability platforms
Maintain comprehensive documentation of observability strategies
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in observability
Develop a communications strategy to inform and educate our user community

Requirements:

5+ years of experience with hands-on management of multiple observability tools
5+ years of experience in technology governance, strategy, operations, or a related field
5+ years of experience in data, process analysis, process design, and documentation
Proven experience managing technology budgets and financials
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Real-world experience evaluating and rationalizing applications and tools within an enterprise portfolio
Experience evaluating technology solutions
Excellent project management skills
Exceptional communication skills
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
Experience with vulnerability management lifecycle for software and infrastructure as well as risk management tools like Archer

Nice to have:

Hands on Experience with multiple observability tools and frameworks: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Clickhouse, Vector, Cribl, Keep, Solarwinds, ThousandEyes, xMatters, and Open Telemetry
Hands on Experience with ServiceNow including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), CMDB, Report and Dashboard creation
ITILv3 or ITILv4 Foundation certification
Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
PMI PMP certification
