The Sonographer will promote a patient-focused approach to care, ensuring all clinical and client areas are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose. You will be required to work with complex and sensitive information, act as a patient advocate, and consistently maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.
Job Responsibility:
Conducting a wide range of prenatal scans, including early pregnancy reassurance and dating scans, through to late pregnancy 4D scans
Producing high-quality ultrasound images and videos
Maintaining accurate clinical records and making appropriate, high-quality referrals where required
Carrying out phlebotomy services for NIPT screening (training can be provided if not already phlebotomy trained)
Working closely with the management team to ensure a premium client experience
Ensuring a consistently high standard of patient care at all times
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, infection control, and hygiene throughout the clinic
Following the ALARA principles and BMUS guidelines
Requirements:
Qualified and experienced Sonographer with a strong understanding of ultrasound best practice
Registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council), GMC (General Medical Council), or BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A compassionate, patient-centred approach
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
