The O&M Sourcing Specialist will work as the local owner for the O&M sourcing activities. This responsibility includes the development, communication, and execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives for Naama , Boutlelis and Mostaganem sites. The Sourcing Buyer will be reporting to O&M Engineering Manager but strong dotted line to the O&M Sourcing Leader.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with sourcing commodity teams by translating the business requirements (SOWs) as input to the commodity strategy
Lead the execution of the O&M sourcing strategy at Naama , Boutlelis and Mostaganem sites
deliver a competitive advantage by driving the strategic supplier initiatives, selection, development, and consolidation to ensure optimal business performance
Support sourcing specific ERP Oracle and PowerMax, and tool data entry, Review and improve processes. Work on special initiatives using Lean/Kaizen methodology and lead system implementation
Deployment of supply chain optimization initiatives in alignment with Commodity and Initiatives teams strategies (e.g. localization, BCC)
Manage the weekly operating rhythms and KPI's reviews with the leadership
Regular collaboration with SQE teams to ensure quality, delivery and performance needs are met and improvement strategies are implemented
Execute across the purchase base, with full accountability for meeting deflation (savings), usage, cash and preferred supplier targets
Own the day-to-day execution of the local procurement process and manage the purchase orders until closed
Understand and ensure business specific regulatory requirements, global ops compliance, and quality, delivery and cost expectations are met
Manage the operational relationship with suppliers, organize EHS seminars and bootcamps as a refresher to GE standards and procedures
Work Cross-functionally with business teams to effectively implement business solutions
Position is based in Oran and traveling time to time to Head office in Algiers
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or high school degree
Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing/supply chain Power Generation, Power Plant Construction, Oil & Gas industry
Fluent in English, Arabic and French languages are mandatory
Ability to travel regularly on-site for customer meetings inside the country.
