Job Description

The O&M Manager will be responsible for the management, organization, monitoring and supervision of any operation and maintenance activities on a PV project. The main purpose is to ensure the operation and functionality of the PV project and guaranteeing all obligations arising from existing service and maintenance contracts.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the technical management and supervision of the plant, ensuring and optimising the plant's energy production, availability and PR objectives
  • Planning and managing of the productive / preventive/corrective actions of the plant coordinating the different work teams to ensure continuity and efficiency of production
  • Guiding, delegating and communicating with local technicians and assistants
  • Verifying the fulfilment of tasks and plans. Evaluating objectives, observe and manage the resolution of possible deviations within the area of responsibility
  • Actively participate in the optimisation of the plant's procedures with improvement proposals focused on, for example, reducing costs or increasing productivity
  • Defining work procedures for all activities to be carried out to ensure the safety of operators as well as the safety of equipment and installations
  • Carrying out maintenance checklists that include the indications of maintenance manuals of all equipment and installations and ensure the correct execution of the works
  • Monitoring of the plant control system through various applications
  • Contact for Asset Owner, related departments and subcontractor of the plant
  • Management of ground keeping activities
  • Support HSE officer in health and safety topics and tasks
  • Reporting and documentation
  • Warranty tracking, spare parts management
  • On-call service on weekends
  • Local based on-site of a PV plant

Requirements

  • Experienced in renewable energy as technician or engineer or technician with a strong hands-on mentality
  • 3+ years Solar PV O&M Experience on Utility Scale Solar
  • Electrical / technical background
  • Relevant qualification in an electrical / mechanical or engineering discipline
  • Expertise on operation & maintenance activities and processes
  • Expertise and experiences on PV installation either from O&M or construction, commissioning
  • In-depth knowledge of any, especially electrical, components of a PV plant
  • Professional understandings of technical documents, drawings
  • Ability to prepare technical plannings and processes
  • Strong understanding of PV modules, inverter, substructure, cables & cablings, transformer, earthing, protection systems, Scada & communication system functionality
  • Strong understanding about the maintenance requirements of all PV installation components
  • Multitasking while being able to prioritize important tasks and work on own responsibility
  • Language: German and English

Nice to have

  • Certifications of switching authorization, trained on inverter or transformer station are advantageous
  • HSSE certification is advantageous
