Job Description:

The NZ Data Services Sales Specialist is responsible for leading pursuit and collaborates with and supports Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. They drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. The role is the primary Subject Matter Expert for Data Services and related products, responsible for driving data services and storage sales with solid understanding of evolving storage technical solutions and HPE's competitive differentiation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead pursuit and collaborate with Account Managers
  • Drive proactive campaigns to build pipeline
  • Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities
  • Primary Subject Matter Expert for Data Services and related products
  • Drive data services and storage sales
  • Maintain outside-in view of competitors
  • Use references to craft compelling customer stories
  • Hunt for solution opportunities in acquisition and development accounts
  • Bring services-led approach with consultative engagements
  • Focus on channel relationships and enablement
  • Responsible for close plan for storage-related opportunities

Requirements:

  • Typically 6+ years of sales experience
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota
  • Storage related sales experience preferred
  • Expertise to assess solution feasibility from technical and business perspective
  • Hunter mentality to actively pursue solution opportunities
  • Knowledge of digital and modern sales methods
  • In-depth knowledge about storage, service, cloud, solutions
  • Understanding of industry trends and competitors
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate storage solutions
  • Understanding of how to engage different partners effectively
