The First Line Support Production Engineer is responsible for providing first-line troubleshooting support to ensure uninterrupted production output. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting of production issues, escalating issues when necessary, and driving continuous improvement through documentation, analysis, and collaboration. The Production Engineer First Line Support has an understanding of product SPC (Statistical Process Control), manages disturbance notifications, and works with the internal teams to support Material (MN) and Disturbance (DN) review boards, ensuring optimal product flow and minimal disruptions.
Job Responsibility
Providing first-line troubleshooting support to ensure uninterrupted production output
Hands-on troubleshooting of production issues
Escalating issues when necessary
Driving continuous improvement through documentation, analysis, and collaboration
Understanding of product SPC (Statistical Process Control)
Managing disturbance notifications
Working with internal teams to support Material (MN) and Disturbance (DN) review boards
Spending 75% of time in the Cleanroom supporting production processes and leading troubleshooting actions
Providing real-time troubleshooting support for production issues to minimize downtime and optimize output
Documenting all disturbances and resolutions accurately for future learning
Escalating issues to senior FLS when resolution cannot be achieved independently
Capturing learnings from troubleshooting efforts and using them to write & enhance OCAPs (Out of Control Action Plans)
Executing ‘As New’ based on input and documentation from D&E/Module PE to ensure product quality meets defined standards
Performing ‘cherry picks’ to select and evaluate specific parts for quality and process validation
Creating ETPs (Engineering Test Plans), task lists, and DOs (Disturbance Orders) related to escalation management, tooling maintenance, and troubleshooting
Advancing problem resolution through detailed investigation of recurring issues
Supporting and maintaining SPC tracking for tooling and products
Performing pre-DRB activities as directed by Technical Lead or equivalent
Supporting, maintaining, and executing by participation in the DRB/MRB (Disturbance Review Board/Material Review Board) process
Creating and managing E-Scraps for scrap parts to ensure traceability and accountability
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering with 2+ years of experience in a production engineering environment
Masters Degree in Mechanical, electrical or Mechatronics engineering and prior internship experience within a production environment
Prior experience troubleshooting mechanical, and or electro-mechanical parts
