To help support the team with all aspects of school food - from creating special diet menus, delivering education sessions and undertaking projects around public health. The successful candidate should be a qualified nutritionist, with an interest in children's nutrition and school food. The role will be home-based however regular travel will be required to deliver training, lessons or attend meetings.
Job Responsibility:
Support with creating a wide range of special diet menus for children with allergies and intolerances
Support with checking menus are compliant to the School Food Standards
Undertake nutritional audits within Caterlink schools
Deliver nutrition education sessions within Caterlink schools
Manage school and parent queries around special diet through the nutrition inbox
Manage sensitive pupil allergy information and medical evidence in line with GDPR regulations
Attend parent or school special diet meetings, online or in person
Requirements:
BSc in Nutrition or Dietetics or equivalent
At least Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition or equivalent
Experience in working with people with allergies and intolerances is desirable
Experience using nutritional analysis system such as Saffron
Numeric and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written confirmation skills
Professional, organised and self-motivated
Passion for keeping up to date with research and changes in legislation
Excellent IT skills
Ability to manage a busy inbox efficiently, and work to deadlines
Nice to have:
Experience in working with people with allergies and intolerances
