As our Nutrition Assistant, you will participate in and support all aspects of healthcare foodservice operations. You will work with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff. Every day you will ensure food safety and cleanliness and provide customer service within a healthcare foodservice setting, always following established guidelines and regulations. To be successful in this role, you must focus on food safety, providing excellent service, working efficiently and being a reliable team member.
Job Responsibility
Participate in and support all aspects of healthcare foodservice operations
Work with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff
Ensure food safety and cleanliness and provide customer service within a healthcare foodservice setting
Follow healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures
Avoid cross-contamination of foods and adhere to personal hygiene requirements
Maintain proper labeling of food products and ensure storage of food equipment
Prepare and serve food within guidelines of menu & dietary requirements
Maintain knowledge of recipe ingredients to respond to food allergy questions or requests
Follow organizational standards and guidelines for a high quality patient and customer experience
Ensure proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation
Support team members in all areas of food services including cashier, retail, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage and food prep
Requirements
One (1) year of food service or customer service experience
Arizona Food Handler Permit or Arizona ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
Nice to have
High School Diploma or GED
Cashier experience
