Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Consultant to provide specialized infrastructure guidance for a client in Illinois. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering a part-time commitment of up to 5 hours per week, ideal for someone who can deliver expert direction and hands-on insight in a focused advisory capacity. The consultant will support the client’s technical environment by strengthening platform performance, advising on best practices, and helping align core systems with operational needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide expert guidance on Nutanix platform administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization
  • Advise technical teams on infrastructure design decisions involving Windows Server, Active Directory, and related enterprise systems
  • Support planning and execution of platform improvements, including recommendations for stability, scalability, and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current environments and identify practical solutions for infrastructure challenges
  • Offer technical direction for integrations and dependencies involving Azure Active Directory, Citrix, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Review existing system architecture and recommend enhancements that improve reliability and operational efficiency
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across virtualized and directory-based environments and propose effective resolutions
  • Document findings, recommendations, and technical guidance to support informed decision-making and future planning

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience working with Nutanix in enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and support
  • Experience managing and supporting Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Citrix technologies in business-critical environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange administration and related system dependencies
  • Ability to evaluate technical environments and provide clear, practical recommendations
