Job Description

Amegreen Education are seeking a Nurture Teacher to join our teaching team, with a working knowledge of KS2 curriculum but the ability to teach students in KS3 this role involves teaching pupils across KS2, and KS3 with the possibility of KS4 in the longer term. This role is working with vulnerable students helping them to engage with learning and develop in confidence.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS2 and KS3 pupils
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of pupils within a therapeutic framework
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and readiness to learn
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, support staff and external professionals
  • Use trauma-informed and attachment-aware practices in the classroom
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, both academically and socially
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and resilience

Requirements

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within KS2 and the ability to teach across KS2/3
  • Has a strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and resilience
  • Is open to learning and applying therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and families
