You know the ones: the students who struggle with the loud hallways, the rigid transitions, and the pressure of a 30-person classroom. The Shift from Mainstream to Specialist In this role, you leave the 'one-size-fits-all' approach at the door. You will lead a small nurture group of secondary students with Autism (ASC) and associated challenging behaviours. Primary-Style Delivery: Use your QTS to deliver a creative, cross-curricular 'nurture' model within a secondary setting. Focus on the Child, Not the Data: Prioritise Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) milestones alongside academic progress. Expert Support: Work in a therapeutic environment where you have immediate access to on-site specialists, rather than waiting months for an external referral.
