Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic KS3 Teacher to join a team at this School near Leatherhead, a specialist school in Effingham, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape their Nurture program, providing individualised support and creating a positive and stimulating learning environment for students with ASD and other complex needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 11-16 who have ASD and other complex or anxiety-related needs
  • creating a nurturing and supportive environment that helps students overcome challenges and reach their full potential
  • being part of a dedicated and committed multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to ensure that students receive the best possible care and education

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a proven track record of successful teaching
  • A passion for working with students with complex needs and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviours in a calm and understanding manner
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities
