The Supervisor of Nursing Administration Registered Nurse (RN) collaborates with management in the planning, direction, coordination and management of the daily business and administrative operations within the scope of nursing service administration. Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures necessary to achieve departmental short- and long-range goals and objectives.

Participates in development and implementation of policies and procedures
Plans and supervises daily business and administrative operations
Interprets and advises on hospital policies and procedures
Supervises employees including work allocation, training, scheduling, evaluation
Promotes education, research, and performance improvement
Applies Lean principles to advance practice
Plans and recommends annual staffing budget
Updates incoming Supervisor on patient conditions and staffing
Establishes cooperative working relationships with departmental personnel, families, physicians
Makes nursing rounds to monitor activity and serve as resource
Provides professional nursing care during staffing shortages
Prepares reports and maintains records and files
Maintains database for reports
Requirements:
Associate's or higher in Nursing
5yr or more of RN experience
Charge/Preceptor experience
ICU experience
Registered Nurse (RN) certification
ACLS certification or within 30 days of hire/transfer
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire/transfer
Knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures
Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and accrediting body standards
Knowledge of medical terminology, health promotion, and medications
Knowledge of nursing ethics and patient privacy rights
Clear communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to make tactical decisions and hiring/termination recommendations
Ability to train and evaluate staff
Ability to observe patient condition changes
Ability to provide age-specific, patient-centered care
General computer skills including Microsoft Office, electronic medical documentation
