Our Health Centre nursing team delivers compassionate, high-quality clinical care within a busy boarding school environment, supporting pupil wellbeing and safety. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, our 400 acre estate is a unique and inspiring place to work. Wellington College is a dynamic and values-led co-educational boarding and day school, where collaboration, care and ambition underpin everything we do. Within this vibrant community, the Health Centre plays a central role in supporting the wellbeing of pupils and the wider College. We are seeking a Nursing Sister to join our dedicated clinical team, delivering high-quality care within a 24-hour service. This role offers the opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding environment, supporting pupils with both immediate healthcare needs and longer-term wellbeing. You will provide responsive and professional nursing care, assess and prioritise clinical needs, and contribute to a safe and supportive setting for pupils, staff and visitors. Contracted for 30.75 hours per week over 33 weeks per year on a shift rota covering days and nights. Working closely with colleagues across the Health Centre and wider pastoral network, you will help ensure continuity of care and clear communication with families and external healthcare professionals. The role also includes supporting health promotion initiatives and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to pupil welfare. Flexibility and sound clinical judgement are essential, as the service operates across a rota that includes evenings, weekends and on-call support. This position would suit a registered nurse who brings professionalism, compassion and strong decision-making skills, along with a genuine commitment to supporting young people in a school environment. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, maintaining high standards of clinical practice and safeguarding awareness at all times. Working in a school environment offers a unique sense of purpose and community. You will be supported with training, development and opportunities to grow your skills, and you'll work alongside colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent service to every member of the Wellington community.
