Job Description:

We’re looking for a warm, professional, and enthusiastic Receptionist to become the welcoming face of our home. This is a temporary full-time position for 6 months, offering a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience while making a real difference every day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the first point of contact, offering a warm and professional welcome to residents, visitors, and staff
  • Manage incoming calls efficiently, directing queries and taking clear messages
  • Support residents’ families with empathy, professionalism, and clear communication
  • Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area and oversee front-of-house presentation
  • Handle deliveries, post, and supplies—keeping everything organised and well-stocked
  • Monitor visitor logs and assist with security procedures
  • Coordinate resident visits and support daily activities
  • Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, scanning, and minute-taking
  • Work closely with the Office Administrator and management team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Participate in training and development opportunities
  • Be flexible with availability, including occasional evenings and weekends

Requirements:

  • Previous reception or administrative experience
  • Healthcare or nursing home experience is an advantage
  • A friendly, professional manner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management
  • A qualification in Customer Service, Administration, or Business (desirable)
