Job Description:

As Accounts Assistant, you will focus on accurate invoice processing, resident billing, payroll, bank reconciliations, and compliance using Sage Accounting Software. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process accounts payable/receivable, reconcile supplier statements, and handle timely payments
  • Prepare and issue resident care fee invoices
  • liaise with families and funding bodies
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain precise financial records
  • Manage staff payroll, deductions, and related queries
  • Support budget monitoring, cash flow management, and audit preparation
  • Ensure compliance with Irish financial regulations, HIQA, and HSE guidelines
  • Handle general financial administration and ad-hoc finance team support

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in accounting/finance, ideally in healthcare/nursing homes
  • Essential proficiency in Sage Accounting Software
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • team player who works independently

Nice to have:

  • Accounting, finance, or related qualification desirable
  • Knowledge of HIQA and HSE financial guidelines desirable
