Nursery Teacher (QTS / EYTS) Chafford Hundred, Grays | Competitive Daily Rates Are you an Early Years specialist looking for a focused role this summer without the burden of full planning? We are looking for an adaptable and nurturing Nursery Teacher to join the team at Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred. This role is perfect for someone who loves the energy of the EYFS classroom but wants a role where the planning and guidance are already handled by a Nursery Room Lead. Whether you are a fully qualified teacher or an EYTS holder looking to work in a TA capacity, this position offers the ideal balance of professional impact and support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Early Years Delivery: Supporting the Nursery Room Lead to deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences for our youngest pupils
  • Ratio Compliance: Providing the essential QTS/EYTS cover needed to maintain safe and effective staff-to-child ratios
  • Classroom Support: Working within a collaborative team to ensure a positive, safe, and productive environment
  • Flexible Approach: If you hold Level 6 EYTS and prefer to work in a TA capacity, the school is happy to offer the role on this basis
  • Zero Planning: Focus entirely on the children
  • the Nursery Room Lead provides all planning and guidance for the sessions

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) is essential
  • A genuine passion for Early Years education and a "can-do" attitude
  • Available for the full duration: 1st June 2026 - 20th July 2026
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role)
