Job Responsibility:
Work in partnership with Key Persons, the wider nursery team, Parents/Carers, and Outside Agencies
Maintain awareness of children receiving EYPP or known to social care
Apply sound knowledge of the local offer for children and families
Gather baseline information through enhanced observations and summative assessments
Plan and chair meetings with Parents/Carers to agree targeted next steps
Ensure a One Page Profile is in place and shared with relevant team members
Manage and develop individual children’s SEND files
Implement effective tools suitable for individual needs (e.g., ABC/STAR, Visual Timetables, SALT diaries)
Attend and actively participate in local authority network meetings, staff meetings, training, parent sessions, and occasional evening or weekend events
Apply for and manage funding applications and referrals
Contribute to Kindred SENDCO meetings and company working groups
Requirements:
Detailed knowledge of child development
Detailed knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and EYFS
Experience working with children with a range of additional needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
Leadership experience within early years education
