Job Description

We are recruiting for a permanent, full-time Nursery Room Leader for a beautiful setting in Haywards Heath. Located just a short 5-minute walk from Haywards Heath train station, this role offers a stress-free commute for anyone travelling from Brighton, Burgess Hill and Crawley. If you hold a Level 3 in Childcare and have a passion for leading a team and inspiring young minds, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the daily operations of your room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
  • Mentor and support a small team of Nursery Practitioners, promoting best practices in Early Years education
  • Plan and implement creative, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Maintain excellent communication with parents and carers, providing updates on child development
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, safeguarding, and compliance are met at all times

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3, or BA in Early Years)
  • Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or Team Leader is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, excellent team-working abilities, and a thorough understanding of safeguarding policies
  • Must have the right to work in the UK for a permanent role
