Job Description

Nursery Practitioner – Part-time and full-time opportunities, starting immediately These flexible opportunities are ideal for Nursery Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years settings. You will work across multiple nurseries and schools, providing day-to-day cover with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles in Camden and the surrounding areas.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-quality care and education for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
  • Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents
  • Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
