Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years professional looking for your next role? We are seeking a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team near Balcombe Station. While a Level 3 qualification is ideally preferred, we are absolutely keen to consider experienced Level 2 qualified practitioners who are looking to grow their careers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children aged 0-5, utilising your knowledge of early child development in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, play-based activities inline with the EYFS
  • Provide high-quality general care, supervision, and emotional support to children aged 0-5
  • Act as a key person, building strong relationships with parents and tracking children's progress
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • Assist with meal times, personal care routines, and ensure strict adherence to safeguarding policies

Requirements

  • CACHE level 2 or 3
  • Hold a Level 3 (ideal) or Level 2 recognised qualification in Early Years/Childcare
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework
  • Are enthusiastic, highly reliable, and dedicated to providing top-tier childcare
  • Possess excellent communication skills, strong team-working abilities, and a positive attitude
  • Are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • You'll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care
  • Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning
